Baccarat looks fancy and plays plainly. Two hands, Player and Banker, are dealt, and you bet on which finishes closer to 9, or on a tie. No hitting, no folding: the rules draw the cards for you. That makes it one of the easiest table games to learn on a phone.
Rule 1 and 2: card values and the total
- An ace is worth 1.
- Cards 2 to 9 are worth their number.
- Tens, jacks, queens and kings are worth 0.
- Only the last digit of the sum counts, so 7 + 8 = 15 scores 5.
Two cards totalling 8 or 9 make a natural, and no one draws a third. A pick can then lose only to a higher final digit.
Rule 3: the three bets and what they pay
| Bet | Pays | Edge (8 decks) |
|---|---|---|
| Banker | 1 to 1 less 5% commission | about 1.06% |
| Player | 1 to 1 | about 1.24% |
| Tie | 8 to 1 | about 14.36% |
Edges here are standard arithmetic for an eight-deck shoe. Some tables pay Tie 9 to 1 or charge no commission, so match the numbers to the rules screen. Quick check: if a table adds side bets, they usually cost more than the three above.
Rule 4: the third-card draw
| Player’s two-card total | What happens |
|---|---|
| 8 or 9 | Natural: nobody draws |
| 6 or 7 | Player stands |
| 0 to 5 | Player draws a third card |
Whether Banker draws hinges on its own total and on Player’s third card; the software applies the chart for you. When Player stood, Banker draws on 0 to 5.
You never choose. That is why baccarat is a bet and not a skill game, and why a streak chart cannot help.
Rule 5: set the stake by the commission
The commission is easy to forget. A ₱200 Banker win pays ₱190, which is ₱10 less than the stake. Over many hands that small deduction still leaves Banker the cheapest bet. Fix one bet size and stay on it: moving up after losses makes the expected loss larger, not smaller.
JILI Baccarat in the lobby
Reading GG Panalo’s lobby on 2026-11-05 turned up a JILI Baccarat in the card and table titles, near Dragon & Tiger and Sic Bo. Look for it in the Poker and Games tabs. It is not a live-dealer table: that day the Live tab held only TOPBET’s Color Game.
No RTP is published by JILI for its games, so this title’s return is unstated. The game’s info screen lists the payouts in use, Tie included. Hold those against the table above, then see how Dragon Tiger, baccarat’s one-card cousin compares.
Where to go next
Tap through the login help for a shoe night, the register steps ahead of a baccarat session, the app shortcut and download basics and the GCash casino limits since 2025 before funding anything. Costs sit side by side on the house edge of Banker and Tie. For another table, read roulette pockets and payouts or the Color Game dice payouts. The all live casino guides lists the rest.
